Kpandai youth protest Tamale High Court’s ruling on Parliamentary Election rerun in their constituency.

A video circulating on social media has captured a group of youth from Kpandai staging a protest in response to the Tamale High Court’s decision to order a rerun of the parliamentary election in their constituency.

The protest, which took place in front of what appears to be a local facility, drew dozens of young men and women who expressed their dissatisfaction with the court’s ruling.

According to reports, the demonstrators believe the original parliamentary election results reflected the true will of the people and argue that a rerun is unnecessary and politically motivated.

The Electoral Commission and relevant security agencies are yet to release a formal statement regarding the protest or the court’s directive. Meanwhile, the situation remains calm, with calls for peace and restraint being echoed by some local leaders and civil society groups.
