A luxury BMW valued at approximately ¢1.5 million was completely destroyed by fire at Borteyman in the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle suddenly caught fire while on the roadside, prompting nearby motorists and pedestrians to stop and watch as thick black smoke billowed into the sky.
Within minutes, the flames had engulfed the entire car, reducing it to a burnt shell.

The owner of the vehicle was reportedly present at the scene and appeared helpless as the fire intensified. Fortunately, no casualties were recorded in the incident.
Fire service personnel were alerted and arrived to contain the blaze, preventing it from spreading to nearby properties and vehicles.
However, by the time the fire was brought under control, the car had been extensively damaged.
The cause of the incident remains unknown. Authorities are expected to conduct investigations to determine whether the fire was triggered by a mechanical fault, electrical issue, or other factors.
The incident has sparked conversations online about vehicle maintenance and fire safety precautions.
