The Ghana Armed forces recruitment exercise has claim six lives and several people in critical conditions at 37 military hospital.
A recruit has explained into details what causes the death and injuries to the other recruits during the recruitment exercise that took place at El-Wak stadium in the Greater Accra.
According to the eyewitness, the gate was not open early that kept a lot of people waiting and as a result many people who applied came to the premises waiting for them to open the gate.

He further stated that since their number was so huge immediately the gate was opened, they all forced their way through the gate.
As they move towards the gate, many people fall on the grounds and they started stepping on them.
According to her, they had no option than to step on them to move to where the exercise was going on, some people also climb the wall to get access to the premises.

She pleaded on the government to fix a date for the exercise to continue.
“We plead on the government to ensure a proper way of handling the recruitment exercise than what happened today”, she said.
