My future is at stake if Kennedy Agyapong becomes President – Adwoa Sarfo says in campaign of the NPP primaries.

A video circulating widely on social media shows Adwoa Sarfo, a known member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), making a bold public declaration regarding the party’s upcoming flagbearer race.

Speaking passionately at a gathering, she stated that her “life is at stake” should Kennedy Agyapong become the NPP’s presidential candidate for the 2026 elections.

According to Sarfo, the party must move beyond what she described as “family and friends politics,” which, in her view, significantly contributed to the party’s fall from power.

She noted that such internal practices must be avoided if the NPP hopes to regain public trust and political momentum ahead of the next general election.

She acknowledged that she shares two children a boy and a girl with Kennedy Agyapong, but firmly stressed that her personal relationship with him would not influence her political decisions.

“Having children with him doesn’t mean I will campaign for him,” she stated.

Sarfo went on to publicly endorse Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as her preferred candidate in the upcoming NPP flagbearer primaries, scheduled for January 2026.

She described Dr. Bawumia as a competent and visionary leader who represents a fresh and inclusive direction for the party.

Her remarks have since generated significant attention online and within NPP circles, with supporters and critics of both aspirants weighing in.

The NPP flagbearer race is expected to be one of the most closely contested in the party’s history, as it prepares to position itself for the 2028 general elections.
