Nana Agradaa retracts defamatory, Issues public apology to Empress Gifty Adorye

Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Mama Pat, has formally retracted a series of defamatory social media posts targeting gospel musician Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye.

The retraction and apology were issued through her legal representatives, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult.

According to the press release, the statements made by Mama Pat in May 2025 were in response to remarks previously made by Mr. Hopeson Adorye, husband of Empress Gifty.

The release clarifies that the comments from Mama Pat were made in the heat of the moment, but were unfortunately interpreted as direct attacks on the morality and chastity of Empress Gifty.

The statement, signed by Richard Asare Baffour, Esq., Counsel for Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, unequivocally declares that the allegations contained in Mama Pat’s posts were “false and completely without merit.” As a result, Mama Pat has retracted all the statements and expressed deep remorse.

The letter includes an unqualified and sincere apology to Empress Gifty Adorye for the harm caused to her reputation, character, and emotional well-being.

It also extends the apology to her family, friends, and colleagues for the distress they may have experienced due to the false allegations.
