NDC Executive Member Reportedly Passes Away

NDC’s Nicholas Aklorbortu Reportedly Passes Away in a collision. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) have been hit with a devastating loss following the sudden death of Nicholas Aklorbortu, a dedicated party Communications Officer and recently appointed Regional Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the NHIS.

According to reports, Aklorbortu tragically lost his life in a fatal three-motorbike collision that occurred in the Western Region.

The crash, which involved multiple riders, reportedly resulted in a fuel spill that ignited a fire, engulfing the motorbikes.

Aklorbortu’s motorbike was completely destroyed in the blaze, and another individual also perished at the scene.

Eyewitnesses describe the scene as chaotic and heartbreaking, with bystanders attempting to extinguish the flames and rescue the victims before emergency responders arrived. Unfortunately, Aklorbortu and one other could not be saved.

His passing has sent shockwaves through the NDC fraternity and among colleagues at the NHIS, where he had recently assumed a key regional role.

Known for his commitment to grassroots communication and community development, Aklorbortu was widely respected for his work ethic, humility, and passion for public service.

Party members, constituents, and colleagues have since taken to social media and radio platforms to express their condolences and reflect on his legacy.
