Military Jet Crashes in Niger State in Nigeria. A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft crashed on Thursday evening near Karabonde, a remote community in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, prompting swift military response and heightened public attention.

According to initial reports from Lapai TV, a digital news outlet based in Niger State, the crash occurred in a sparsely populated area close to the Kainji National Park.
Eyewitnesses claim the jet appeared to suffer a technical malfunction before descending rapidly.

Both pilots successfully ejected from the aircraft moments before impact and survived the crash.
Local sources confirmed that the pilots deployed parachutes and were later seen receiving medical attention. No fatalities have been reported.
Security forces quickly moved in to secure the crash site while the Nigerian Air Force initiated preliminary investigations.
Though an official statement from the NAF is still pending, personnel are currently assessing the scene and evaluating possible causes of the crash.
