NPP Primaries: Chaos Erupts at Juaboso Voting Center as Delegates Clash with Security

Tension flared at the Juaboso Voting Center after a confrontation broke out between some delegates and security personnel during voting activities on Tuesday.

Eyewitnesses said the disturbance began following disagreements over accreditation procedures and access to the voting area.

Some delegates reportedly accused security officers of selectively enforcing rules, while security officials insisted they were acting to maintain order and ensure a smooth electoral process.

The situation quickly escalated into heated verbal exchanges, causing temporary disruption to voting.

Security personnel intervened to contain the situation and prevent it from turning violent. Calm was later restored after election officials engaged representatives of the aggrieved delegates to address their concerns.

Voting resumed shortly afterward under heightened security, with authorities urging all participants to remain calm and adhere strictly to electoral guidelines.

No serious injuries were reported, although the incident raised concerns about tensions at polling centers.

Electoral officials emphasized their commitment to transparency and fairness, calling on delegates and party supporters to resolve disputes through established channels to protect the integrity of the process.
