The media fraternity in Ghana has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of Nana Akwasi Owusu Achiaw, a popular Twi news anchor with OTEC FM, based in Kumasi.
According to reports reaching OTEC FM, the respected broadcaster died in the early hours of Thursday, December 26, 2025, at approximately 6:45 a.m.
Sources close to the family allege that Nana Akwasi fell ill after consuming food and drinks the previous day.
His condition is said to have deteriorated overnight, prompting an emergency rush to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
