Tragedy has struck the community of Bekawopa in the Central Region following the confirmed deaths of two chainsaw operators under unclear circumstances.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Yaw Asare, popularly known as “Tompuu,” believed to be in his 50s, and Eric Teteh, estimated to be in his 30s.
Both men were reportedly engaged in chainsaw operations within the forested areas of Bekawopa in the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District when the unfortunate incident occurred.

According to initial reports, the bodies were discovered at their work location.
Community members who later arrived at the scene confirmed the two were unresponsive, prompting emergency calls to local authorities.
The exact cause of death remains unknown as investigations are currently underway.
However, some locals suspect it may be related to a possible accident during tree-felling operations or inhalation of toxic fumes from their machinery.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, where both men were known to be experienced in their line of work.
