A tragic incident has rocked the Agona Nyakrom community in the Central Region after a tenant reportedly beat his landlady to death following a heated disagreement over sanitation issues.
According to reports, the confrontation erupted on Monday, January 5, 2026, when the landlady approached the tenant to address persistent concerns about the cleanliness and waste management around the premises.
The conversation is said to have quickly escalated into a violent altercation.

Eyewitnesses claim the tenant, in a fit of rage, physically assaulted the landlady, inflicting severe injuries that led to her death at the scene. Residents were left in shock as news of the gruesome act spread across the community.
Local police arrived shortly after and have since taken the suspect into custody. The body of the deceased has been deposited at a nearby morgue for autopsy, while investigations continue into the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
Community leaders and residents have condemned the act, calling for justice and stressing the importance of resolving domestic disputes peacefully.
The Ghana Police Service is urging anyone with further information to come forward to aid in the investigation.
