A devastating road accident that occurred on Monday along the Sankore-Goaso road in the Ahafo Region has claimed the lives of two individuals and left several others injured.
According to eyewitnesses and initial police reports, the accident involved a commercial vehicle that veered off its lane and collided with a heavy-duty truck transporting logs.
The impact of the collision left the vehicle mangled, as seen in images from the scene, with passengers trapped inside before emergency responders arrived.

The deceased, whose identities are yet to be officially confirmed, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Several of the injured were rushed to nearby health facilities, including the Goaso Government Hospital, for treatment. Some victims are reported to be in critical condition.
Residents have expressed concern about the increasing number of accidents on the Sankore-Goaso stretch, citing reckless driving, poor road conditions, and inadequate road signage as key contributors.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging drivers to exercise caution, especially during the rainy season when roads become more hazardous.
