Popular streamer iShowSpeed has addressed growing criticism over his decision not to collaborate with certain content creators during his ongoing Africa tour, making it clear that the tour’s purpose goes beyond influencer partnerships.

According to Speed, the Africa tour was never designed as a streamer collaboration circuit. Instead, it is a cultural showcase aimed at highlighting the richness, diversity, and everyday realities of African countries.

He emphasized that his focus is on ordinary people rarely seen on global platforms—street performers with raw talent, local communities, and authentic cultural experiences that often go unnoticed.

Speed explained that each stop on the tour is meticulously planned by his team, with strict timelines and pre-arranged locations in every country.

These schedules leave little room for unplanned influencer meetups, especially when they conflict with cultural activities organized by locals.

Addressing complaints from some creators, Speed noted that many of them already have established platforms and audiences.

In contrast, the goal of the tour is to give visibility to people who lack such exposure. He stressed that he will not cancel cultural visits or meaningful local engagements simply to accommodate influencers.

Ultimately, Speed reaffirmed that the tour’s mission is to present African culture to the world in an authentic way—not to center the experience around content creators or social media clout.
