A young man believed to be an Okada (commercial motorcycle) rider has reportedly died following an alleged assault by unidentified individuals at Nsapor, a community near Berekum, in Ghana’s Bono Region.
According to preliminary accounts from residents, the victim—whose identity has been identified as Kumi Ebenezer was allegedly attacked by unknown assailants a day prior to his death.
Following the incident, the matter was reportedly lodged with the Sunyani Police Command, after which the young man was discharged and allowed to return home.

Tragically, on the morning of the incident, a carpenter who lives in the area is said to have discovered the man lying lifeless and immediately alerted the police.
Officers subsequently arrived at the scene and conveyed the body to the police station for further examination and preservation, pending investigations.
Eyewitnesses in the community allege that the deceased succumbed to injuries sustained from the earlier beating.
However, police authorities are yet to officially confirm the exact cause of death.
An autopsy is expected to determine whether the injuries directly led to his demise and to establish a clear medical cause.
The incident has sparked concern and grief among residents of Nsapor and Berekum, particularly within the local Okada rider community, who say the young man was known to operate in the area.
Calls are growing for a thorough and transparent investigation to identify those responsible and to ensure justice is served.
Police have commenced investigations and are urging anyone with relevant information to cooperate with law enforcement.
