President Mahama Assures Completion of Kasoa-Winneba Highway
The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has assured commuters of the completion of the Kasoa-Winneba highway which is still under construction.
The President on his visit to the site on Thursday, 23rd April, 2026, said the rehabilitation of the road is considered under the government infrastructure ‘Big Push’ and assured motorists imminent completion in due time either by December or the first quarter of next year.

The President acknowledged the contractor for the good work he has done and commended the commuters to exercise patience as they monitor the progress of the work despite frustrations.
“I understand your frustrations but help is on the way, the contractor is doing a good job”, he stated.
The project is considered under the broader government perspective in connecting the people to their respective places by reducing traffic congestion within Accra and its environs.
