Ghana’s Government Transition is the poorest in the World – Dr. Adutwum
Member of Parliament for the Bosomtwe Constituency and former Education Minister, Honourable Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, stated that the Ghana government’s transition remains the poorest in the world during an interview with JoyNews.
He stated that the early changes in Ghana’s system do not ensure the continuity of infrastructure and social development, as the new government elected into office will change some criteria set by the former administration.

Dr. Adutwum argues that effective government depends on tested government rather than discarding it for a new one.
He said during his time as the Education Minister there were structures put in place to ensure that STEM education functioned effectively.
Dr. Adutwum further stated that discontinuity leads to loss rather than gain since the education system needs a reform to be implemented to enhance education in the system.
He stressed that the education system should be treated with continuity rather than the political cycle.
“What I want is that we hold politicians accountable and do not allow politics to justify inefficiency,” he said.
