Pregnant Woman Dies in Kasoa Hospital Due to No Bed Syndrome
A tragedy has hit Kasoa after a pregnant woman in labour was reported to have died after the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa allegedly denied her request for a caesarean section due to a lack of available beds in its ward.
The victim according to the report by Lawson BKB married about a couple of months ago and got pregnant after it.
According to an eyewitness to the incident, the woman was sent to a private hospital initially but was transferred to Mother and Child Hospital at Kasoa for immediate cesarean.

According to the family, when the woman was sent to the hospital, she was denied beds alleging that she slept on the floor for two days.
She was pronounced dead after two days without a bed for her Cesarean causing serious concern in the country.
The situation has since gone viral on social media as many are asking about the lapses in the health care system due to ‘no bed syndrome’.
