Otumfuor Osei Tutu II Destools Kyeame Kofi Nti
His Royal Majesty Otumfuor Osei Tutu II on 20th April, 2026 at his first sitting of Asanteman Council after his vacation has destooled His linguist Kyeame Kofi Nti.
Kyeame Kofi Nti is the Occupant of the Boakye Yaw Panin linguist stool.
The reason behind his destoolment as reported, is as follows:

Firstly, it involves his royal lineage to the stool after failing to invoke the great oath of Otumfuor.
Additionally, he was cited, for inappropriate handling of the great oath of Otumfuor. This comes as a withholding and a delay of reporting the oath to His Royal Majesty Otumfuor.
Furthermore, he was charged with failure of duties as Okyeame for neglecting the ‘Ntamkeseɛ’ when evoked and reported to him, which was a great breach of the Asante customs and traditions.
Lastly, he was charged with disrespecting his stool elders for wrongful enstoolment of Ayaasehene when his stool elders did not accept him.
