Gifty Oware-Mensah instructed the transfer of the NSA fund to her company – ADB Manager
The court proceedings of the former deputy director of the National Service Authority (NSA) Ms. Gifty Opare-Mensah have taken a turn after the first prosecutor’s witness informed the court that the accused instructed her to transfer the NSA fund into her company, Blocks of Life Consult Limited.
Gilbert Serbeh Yeboah, the Head of Commercial Banking at the Agriculture Development Bank (ADB) told the court the bank acted under the instruction of Ms. Gifty Oware-Mensah to transfer the money to her account.
During the court proceedings, the witness informed and showed the letter instructing them to transfer the amount from the NSA hire purchase to Blocks of Life dated May, 2, 2023.

“We authorise that funds be transferred from the NSS hire purchase account to Blocks of Life”, the letter reads.
The witness, Mr. Yeboah insisted that the letter was signed by the former deputy NSA director directing them to move the fund to Block Life.
The defendant’s lawyer challenged the letter citing that it was written for future transactions within the bank.
Mr. Yeboah told the court that in every transaction of the fund Ms. Gifty Opare is always called to verify before each transaction is made.
He urged the court that every communication, emails, and WhatsApp message sent to the defendant were not tendered before the court on Tuesday, 2, June, 2026.
The witness added that if there is any authorisation of the transaction it will be the responsibility of the NSA to reject it.
The witness then informed the court of providing all the necessary documents needed for the case.
