Dr. Awusi made my church more popular and me – Apostle Eric Nyamekye during the thanksgiving of Julius Debrah’s birthday.
Apostle Eric Nyamekye, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost Ghana, says the insult raised at him by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Freezone Authority, Dr. Mary Awusi has rather made him and the church more popular.
This comes after the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah marked his 60th birthday at the church of Pentecost in Trasacco on 26th April, 2026.

Hon. Julius Debrah made a public apology on behalf of the Church’s Chairman asking him to forgive the CEO, Dr. Mary Awusi calling it a ‘slip’
The Chairman says he has nothing against her rather she has made him and his church more visible to the people in Ghana and around the world.
“As for this lady, she has made me more popular. People like that I don’t think about because she has made my church and myself more popular,” he says.
He continued to say his heart is pure and has forgiven them just as Christ forgave all our sins.
He added that for everyone to believe what he says that’s why he has not spoken about the issue in length.
