Police Arrest Suspect for Over Threats Against the President on TikTok Viral Video
The Inspector General of Police (IGP)’s Cyber Vetting Team (CVET) has apprehended a suspect, Mahama Aminat, popularly known on social media as Serwaa Minat, for misconduct towards the president.
The Tiktoker, Mahama Minat was arrested because she shared offensive content towards the president, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, and his wife, Lordina Mahama threatening the life of the President and inciting others to harm both of them.

The video shared via her TikTok on May, 19, 2026 went viral as a joint operation team involving the Surveillance and Cuber Vetting Team (CVET) apprehended the suspect on May, 20, 2026 at Sekyere Zongo in the Sekyere Kumawu District of the Ashanti Region.
The intelligence team is arranging the suspect before the court in the coming days while the suspect remains in police custody for investigation.
