President Mahama praises the IGP’s POMAB for being Quiet but Effective
The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has commended the Inspector General of the Ghana Police Service (IGP), Tetteh Yohonu, and the Police Management Board (POMAB) for their effective handling of crime in the country.
He stated that the Ghana Police Service has acted effectively in dealing with criminal activities across the country.
“This Police Management team has been quiet, they don’t make too much noise but they are very effective”, he said.

He applauded the Management Board for the Police Service for dealing with crime and enhancing the safety of the people.
He acknowledged the Police Board for the strategy implemented as significant in fighting the criminal activities and urged them to continue their efforts.
The President made this statement at the official commissioning of the Odumase Krobo Laasi Divisional Police Headquarters.
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Tetteh Yohuno expressed his appreciation to the president for his support of the service.
He stated the President’s effort in providing armoured vehicles to the service has allowed strengthening the security of the nation.
