Paul Afoko Unveils Strategy for NPP to Reclaim Power in 2028

Mr Awentami Paul Afoko the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairmanship hopeful has asked the party leaders and executive to embark on a research-based strategy and data-driven approach to reclaim the parliamentary seat lost during the 2024 general election.

Mr. Afoko speaking to the minority caucus in Accra, on the party’s survival in 2028 called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to endorse data-backed making, research strategy, and sharper communication to help the grassroots to reclaim power in the upcoming election.

“We need to be focused so we can bring to bear what we have set our minds to do,” he told the MPs. “No more guesswork. If we want to win, we must know exactly where we stand, constituency by constituency”, he said.

He further stressed that the party should not rely on guesswork but should embark on a way of protecting the eighty-seven (87) seats they have in parliament and look for a different strategy to win more seats in addition.

He asked the party to adopt a structure because modern elections are won and lost in intelligence not instinct and called on the party to subsidize polling, focus groups, and rapid feedback strategies to comprehend voter opinion before it turns into opposition votes, pledging to lead the indictment.

“I believe in research-based activities,” he added.

He concluded that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) needs to be united and adopt his strategy to win power not guesswork.
