Elders to Perform Rituals Following two successive deaths of headteachers at Sunyani West

The Queen Mother, Nana Ameyaa Ansu Gyeabour of Kobide, has publicly stated that the chief and stool elders are to embark on a ritual cleansing following the deaths of two successive headteachers at the Kɔbɛdi AME Zion Basic School in the Suyani West Municipality.

According to her, the death of head teachers in the school has raised concerns about the school as many people are afraid to assume the office of head teacher leaving the office vacant.

She added that the recent death of a headmistress, Madam Gladys Dorlo Batinge who assumed office not long ago caused a suspension of academic activities for more than one week escalating tension in the area.

According to Nana Ameyaa Ansu Gyeabour the death occurring in the school is alleged to be a curse invoked by a nearby community Nzor of extortion from the school authorities.

Kɔbɛdi AME Zion Basic School

Nana Ameyaa Ansu Gyeabour has assured the public that chiefs and elders are to perform rituals to stop the deaths occurring in the school in spiritual linked to it.

Meanwhile, the Krontihene of the traditional area also asked the media to stop reporting false news about the school regarding the death of the headmistress of the school.

He called on the journalist to verify and authentic information before sharing on the internet because it may raise fear and panic in the school making it impossible to have a headteacher to head the school.
