Police Launch Full Investigation into a clash at Drobo Traditional Council’s Palace
In a press statement released by the Ghana Police Service, the Bono Regional Command has launched an investigation into the offense of causing unlawful damage to property at the Drobo Traditional Council’s Palace.
The report says that the Krontihene of Drobo Traditional Council, Nana Tanor Bediako accompanied by two other persons made a complaint that a group of fifteen (15) men with red bands caused damage to the Drobohene’s palace with the intention of taking over the facility.
The police upon hearing the news went to the scene and found that the main entrance at the palace was destroyed as it lay on the ground.

The police say a three-barreled pump action BB ammunition was retrieved from the group at the forecourt of the palace after the police persuaded them.
According to the investigation by the police, the group of people on the side of the queen mother alleged that the Drobohene was going to install a sub-chief and their presence was to stop him.
The report says that the supporters of the Queen Mother and the Drobohene clashed leading to a misunderstanding that led to the tension at the palace.
Some suspects argue that they have sought an injunction to stop the Drobohene from the palace but he has ignored the injunction.
The police have made an effort to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the disturbances for prosecution.
According to the police calmness has been restored following the disturbances and urged all factions to resort to due process to resolve disputes.
