Abu Trica granted GHS30 million bail by the Accra High Court

According to a circulating news shared on Facebook on 21st April, 2026 by Lawyer Oliver Baker-Vormawor who is the lawyer defending Frederick Kumi, popularly known as Abu Trica in the court has confirmed that his client has secured bail after months of their application before the court.

The decision of the court comes after several applications from the client’s lawyer for his bail after many months.

According to primary reports,  the Accra High Court granted Abu Trica bail with a sum of GHS 30 million with two sureties while the legal team is still contesting the extradition process initiated.

Abu Trica’s arrest comes after he was allegedly charged with romance fraud involving $8 million.

He was arrested and picked up by police and since then has been in police custody while the investigation is still ongoing.
