Over 5,000 Diapers Seized by FDA in Temale Metropolis

The FDA through its market surveillance in the Tamale Metropolis has seized over 5,000 unregistered baby diapers with the aim of protecting the public health.

The search was done across the length and breadth of the Tamale Metropolis to seize unapproved diapers affecting the health of children within the country.

The surveillance reveals that most of these diapers brands has improper labelling, registration status and lack registration status above all the brands does not meet the nation’s standard.

According to the FDA, this initiative aims to ensure that only approved diapers are sold to the public, enhancing public health.

The authorities say it is their topmost priority to ensure approved and registered diapers that are safe for the health of the child are delivered on the market.
