The Hit and Run Driver Should Be Prosecuted – Dr. Yamson on Charles Amissah’s case
Dr. Justice Yawson, a Lawyer and the former General Secretary of the Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has called on the relevant bodies within the health sector to find the hit-and-run driver who caused the accident involving Charles Amissah.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile on the report by the committee he expressed his concerns about the medical negligence causing loss of lives in the health sector.

“I am quite surprised that if you look at the chain causation, the very person who started this whole acidity leading to his unfortunate death, and the whole country including the media nobody wants to talk about and I find that very distressing,” he stated.
Dr. Yawson also called on the security agencies to work shrewdly in apprehending and prosecuting medical personnel who are found guilty of neglecting patients leading to death.
Amissah Arthur, a 29-year-old engineer working at Promosido died after a hit-and-run car hit him, despite many attempts to seek medical attention being denied due to no bed syndrome.
