The GES claims that the aforementioned amount is ‘false and misleading’ asking the public to debunk the statement surrounding social media.
The GES added that the government remains fully committed to maintaining the policy for future generations.
Upon rejecting the GES claim that some Senior Schools may act independently but any school found collecting unauthorized money from students for feeding will face sanctions.
GES further stated that misinformation about the free SHS can undermine the public interest and therefore urged the general public to reject such information.
GES urged all parents and guardians paying unauthorized fees to school management to report such incidents for proper action to be taken.
