Doctors at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital Withdraw Work, Demand Patient Safety

The Doctors at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital have hit a wall of withdrawing work over patient safety.

In a statement released by the Korle-Bu Doctors Association (KODA), a group of doctors confirmed that the industrial action took effect on May 2, 2026.

It was added that the KODA is not taking the action lightly as they call on management to act quickly to address the issue as soon as possible.

“KODA does not take this step lightly. It is taken in the interest of patient safety, professional integrity, and the long-term effectiveness of this institution,” the statement from the release.

It was added by the association that believing that the management will act in accordance with the statement as they seek safety for their customers (patients).
